Deepen your connection to Source
We are a vibrant spiritual community guided by the Jewish cycle of the year and Earth-based practices, rooted in Jewish tradition, for anyone related to or called to relationship with the Jewish peoplehood. Based in Phoenixville, PA, and founded by Kohenet Bekah Starr and her husband Mordechai Zalmen, we host rituals, classes, workshops, retreats, and life cycle events that seek to illuminate the spiritual heart of Judaism.
We are Ruach Lev!
Illuminating the spiritual heart of Judaism
Rosh Chodesh, the beginning of each Jewish month at the new moon, is traditionally a time for womxn* to gather for renewal and celebration. Join CBJ member, Kohenet Bekah Starr, for a community ritual and sharing circle. We will focus on the meanings and themes of each Hebrew month, through the lens of the Kohenet Hebrew Priestess Institute theology, sharing ways they can help us explore important questions in our lives and our world.
June 17th 7:30pm-8:30pm

*All identifying as adult womxn are welcome.
Please bring a snack to share after our ritual & an open heart.
As Shabbat fades and the stars appear, come gather for havdalah and an evening of song. We’ll light the braided candle, pass the spices, and sing together — folk melodies, nigunim, and whatever moves us — as we step into the new week with intention and community. No experience necessary. Just bring your voice and an open heart.

This small group gathering, led by a Kohenet Bekah Starr and Mordechai Zalmen, offers an introduction to practice Jewish meditation in a quiet, supportive setting. We will use traditional chants and guided reflection to help you step away from daily distractions and focus on your inner life. The experience is designed to be a grounded and welcoming space for anyone looking to explore the depth of our ancient tradition.
